WUGA-TV airing interviews with Cynthia Tucker, Francis Slakey

Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Cynthia Tucker and Georgetown University lecturer and adventurer Francis Slakey are guests on episodes of “Unscripted with Alan Flurry,” airing on WUGA-TV through April 1 at 4:30 p.m.

Tucker was the editorial page editor of the Atlanta-Journal Constitution for 17 years before moving to Washington, D.C., in 2009 to become the paper’s political columnist. In 2011, she became a visiting professor of journalism and the Charlayne Hunter-Gault Distinguished Writer-in-Residence in the UGA Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

A MacArthur Scholar and member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Slakey is the Upjohn Lecturer on Physics and Public Policy and the co-director of the Program on Science in the Public Interest at Georgetown. He is the first person to both climb the highest mountain on every continent and surf every ocean.
