UGA Alumni, Athletic associations to bring 2014 UGA Day Tour to 12 cities in Southeast

Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia Alumni Association and the UGA Athletic Association are hosting the annual UGA Days Tour in 12 cities in four states with events spanning April through July.

The annual UGA Day Tour, which began on April 16 in Greenville, S.C., brings campus administrators and athletic coaches to cities across the Southeast for evening gatherings with local alumni, friends and fans.

Each stop on the tour will feature one administrator and two athletic coaches. The program will include updates from each speaker and will be hosted by former WSB-TV sportscaster, Chuck Dowdle. Remaining UGA Days include:

April 24 – UGA Day in Dalton
Location: Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center, Dalton

April 30 – UGA Day in Orlando
Location: Embassy Suites Orlando – Downtown, Orlando, Fla.
Speakers: UGA President Jere W. Morehead, head football coach Mark Richt, men’s head basketball coach Mark Fox

May 1 – UGA Day in Savannah
Location: Charles H. Morris Center at Trustees’ Garden, Savannah
Speakers: Pamela Whitten, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost, head football coach Mark Richt, men’s head basketball coach Mark Fox

May 12 – UGA Day in Albany
Location: Hilton Garden Inn, Albany

May 13 – UGA Day in Houston presented by Landry’s Inc.

May 19 – UGA Day in Augusta

May 21 – UGA Day in Columbus
Location: RiverMill Event Centre, Columbus

May 22 – UGA Day in Macon
Location: Walnut Creek Shooting Preserve, Macon

July 15 – UGA Day in Gwinnett County
Location: Gwinnett Center, Duluth
Guests: UGA President Jere W. Morehead, head football coach Mark Richt, men’s head basketball coach Mark Fox

Dinner will be provided at each UGA Day, with the exception of UGA Day in Houston, beginning at 6 p.m. local time, after which the program will commence at 7 p.m. Each event will conclude at 8 p.m.

Registration is required for each event. Admission is free for children 6 and under. Individual tickets are $20 per person in advance and $30 at the door. Reserved tables will be available for purchase in each city other than Houston. Registration will open on a rolling basis for each event at www.alumni.uga.edu/ugaday.
