University of Georgia Pre-Law Advising Office hosts panel sessions for students

Athens, Ga. – The Pre-Law Advising Office is providing an opportunity for University of Georgia students and alumni to ask questions at two discussion panels with law schools from across the Southeast. The discussions will be held on Feb. 17 and 24 from 5:30-7 p.m. in Room 214 of the Miller Learning Center.

Panel participants include admissions officers and academic representatives from law schools in the Southeastern U.S., including UGA, Mercer University, Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, Wake Forest University, Stetson University and the University of Memphis.

“This is an opportunity for students and alumni to learn more about the programs and clinics offered by the law schools,” said Cathy Clutter, director of the Pre-Law Advising Office. “The topics range from weighting of admissions factors, timing of applications, and cost to school rankings and job market prospects. However, the major focus is on the admissions process for these schools.”

The event is open also to the general public. UGA students and alumni should pre-register by emailing ptolbert@uga.edu.
