Athens, Ga. – Edward M. Kerschner, chief investment officer for Citigroup/Smith Barney, will speak to University of Georgia faculty, students and invited guests on campus Thursday, Jan. 13. Kerschner will provide his outlook for the economy, interest rates and profits for 2005, and offer his strategic philosophy: thematic investing.
According to Kerschner, thematic investing analyzes how demographic, technological and political trends will affect financial markets and identifies market sectors and individual securities that will benefit from those trends. Kerschner is also adjunct professor of finance at New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Kerschner’s lecture is co-sponsored by UGA’s Terry College of Business and the School of Public and International Affairs.
