Athens, Ga. – The International Student Life Office (ISL) and the Department of Student Activities at the University of Georgia invite the Athens community to attend the seventh annual International Street Festival on Saturday, April 9, from noon to 5 p.m. on College Avenue in downtown Athens. The event is designed to promote intercultural exchange and international understanding through the festival theme of “Bringing the World to Athens.” It is free and open to the public.
Student and community organizations from more than 25 countries will display artwork, crafts, costumes, photographs, jewelry and other artifacts. Interactive performances, including music, dancing and live events, will showcase and celebrate cultures from around the globe. Last year the festival attracted more than 2,500 people, both U.S. nationals and internationals.
