Athens, Ga. — Students participating in the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) will present posters of their research projects Monday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. until noon in the Hill Atrium at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education.
Sponsored by the University of Georgia Graduate School, SURP brings undergraduate students from institutions across the country to the UGA campus for an intensive research experience under the guidance of faculty mentors for eight weeks. The poster presentations will feature the students’ research in the sciences, social sciences and humanities. The public is invited to attend the presentations and to meet these outstanding student scholars.
Since its inception in 1995, SURP has introduced students from underrepresented populations to the rigors of graduate education with a goal toward increasing diversity at the graduate level at UGA.
