Athens, Ga. – Members of the University of Georgia Redcoat Marching Band continued their tour of China with a visit to the Great Wall of China outside of Beijing on Wednesday, May 17, 2006.
The 250-member Redcoat Band is on a two-week concert tour of China at the invitation of the U.S.-China Cultural and Educational Foundation during which the Redcoats will spend time in Beijing, Chengdu, Kunming, Nanjing, Xiamenand Shanghai. The Redcoats and their directors will have opportunities to interact with their musician counterparts at Sichuan University and Nanjing University and will give marching performances in several stadia.
