Athens Ga. – The University of Georgia Performing Arts Center will present the Second City comedy improv troupe for three performances Jan. 27, 28 and 29 at 8 p.m. in Ramsey Concert Hall. The group returns in a new show entitled “Happily Ever Laughter.”
Based in Chicago, the Second City is making its third Ramsey Hall appearance, following sold-out shows in 2010 and 2012. The company has launched the careers of comedy stars including Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Amy Poehler, Jason Sudekis, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bill Murray and Joan Rivers.
With a combination of sketches, songs, and improvisation, the Second City has been entertaining audiences around the world for more than 50 years.
