Katie Couric, co-anchor of NBC’s Today and contributing anchor for Dateline NBC, will host the 63rd annual George Foster Peabody Awards ceremony to be held May 17 in New York.
“Katie Couric is the consummate newscaster, at ease with presidents and prime ministers, with Hollywood celebrities and intellectual leaders. Her wide-ranging experience as a broadcaster is a perfect match for the Peabodys,” says Horace Newcomb, director of the Peabody Awards Program at UGA.
