Watch those complex carbs

The new facilities for UGA's Complex Carbohydrate Research Center at 315 Riverbend Rd. were officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony the morning of Feb. 11. That afternoon the scientists who work in the facility offered a two-hour "dedication colloquium" designed for the general public. The center develops new methods to study complex carbohydrates and studies the role of these molecules in plant growth and in human diseases
