Ron Courson, director of sports medicine for the Athletic Association, received the Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award from the National Athletic Trainers Association.
The award represents the second-highest honor an athletic trainer can receive and recognizes excellence in the profession of athletic training. Courson’s clinical work at UGA and his longstanding service with the Olympic Games were highlighted among the attributes that earned him the award.
