The Black Educational Support Team is hosting the Continuing the Legacy program Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. in Georgia Hall of the Tate Student Center. Maurice Daniels, dean of UGA’s School of Social Work, will deliver the keynote address.
This program, a commemoration of 45 years of desegregation at UGA, will bring together current African-American freshmen and other students on campus to discuss the importance of the strides Charlayne Hunter-Gault, Hamilton Holmes and Mary Frances Early took to make UGA what is today.
