Steve Smith, vice president of corporate responsibility for Turner Broadcasting System Inc., will deliver the keynote address at the Black Faculty and Staff Organization’s fifth annual Founders’ Scholarship Luncheon Sept. 5 from noon–1:30 p.m. at the Georgia Center for Education Conference Center and Hotel.
The luncheon will include the presentation of two $500 scholarships to one graduate and one undergraduate student. A limited number of tickets are available for the luncheon until Aug. 31. Single tickets are $30; tables, which seat eight people, are available for $240. Proceeds from the ticket sales will directly benefit the scholarship program. No tickets will be sold at the door.
