A Ladies Golf Academy will be held this summer to teach beginner, intermediate and advanced golfers about swinging, chipping, putting, the rules of golf, the sand game and other golf-related topics.
All instruction will take place at the UGA Golf Course driving range and practice area. Participants will need to provide their own clubs, appropriate shoes and transportation to the golf course. Session dates are June 23–27 from 9 a.m.–noon, or 1–4 p.m. for beginning and intermediate golfers. The cost is $395.
Also, an evening session from 5–7 p.m. will be offered for beginning and intermediate golfers for $295. From June 28–29 from 9 a.m.-noon, there will be a session for intermediate and advanced golfers for $160. The cost includes individual and group instruction, videotaping, greens fees and cart fees for playing lesson (five-day session only), range balls, refreshments and use of Lumpkin and Boyd golf centers.
