The Office of Service-Learning will hold a series of lunch-and-learn programs on current research in service-learning and community-based practice. The first program will be held Sept. 16 from noon-1 p.m. in the conference room at Instructional Plaza North.
The program will feature a presentation, “Assessment in Service-Learning Courses” by David Berle, a senior scholar with the UGA Office of Service-Learning and a past UGA Scholarship of Engagement Grant recipient. His research has recently focused on challenges and solutions concerning assessment in service-learning courses. Berle is an associate professor in the horticulture department and has been with UGA since 2001.
