The Office of Institutional Diversity is accepting nominations for its 2009 Embracing Diversity Awards.
The award recognizes outstanding accomplishments of individuals, groups or teams who have contributed to diversity and inclusion efforts at UGA. Awards of up to $250 to further support initiatives in the 2009-2010 academic year will be granted, with one award given in each of the following categories: faculty, staff, student groups and departments/units.
The nomination deadline is Aug. 31. Awards will be presented at the annual Diversity Days Kickoff Celebration Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel. More information, including the nomination form, is available online (http://uga.edu/diversity/).
