Tenure-track faculty at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, will receive bonuses this year from money raised through fundraising, the institution reported.
The program was proposed as a way to encourage faculty to help with fundraising and thank them for past efforts, according to Provost Robert Frank. A portion of the money raised will be put in a pool and split among tenure-track faculty on Dec. 1. Exact amounts have not yet been determined, but institution-wide fundraising jumped
to $46 million from $32.5 million this year.
