Effective July 1, 2010, the employer and employee contribution rates for the Teachers Retirement System of Georgia will change.
The employer rate will increase from the current 9.74 percent to 10.28 percent. The employee rate will increase from 5.25 percent to 5.53 percent.

At this time, no planned rate changes related to the Optional Retirement Plan have been announced.
