In conjunction with American Pharmacists Month, the College of Pharmacy will hold its seventh annual Dawgtoberfest: Rx for Good Health on Oct. 14 from noon-3 p.m. at Herty Field. Sponsored by Walgreen Co., the event will include health screenings, free food, free T-shirt shirts and free flu prevention kits.
Also available will be free body fat analysis, diabetes assessments and blood pressure checks.
In addition, booths from student health groups will provide information on hypertension, asthma, breast cancer, diabetes, fad diets, immunizations, sexually transmitted diseases, women’s health topics, pediatric health topics and heartburn.
Dawgtoberfest is open to UGA students, faculty, staff and families in the Athens community. Parking is available in the North Campus Deck.
