All UGA employees are required to complete 10 security training modules by Nov. 30. This includes faculty, staff and administrators. Student workers, graduate assistants, research assistants, teaching assistants and work-study students are also required to participate. Other students are encouraged to participate.
SecureUGA is an information security education and awareness program that includes mandatory, self-paced, online awareness presentations. In 2008, the first four modules were required, and this year an additional six modules are required for a total of 10 modules.
The required modules can be accessed by logging in to the SecureUGA Web site, secure.uga.edu. Each module should take less than five minutes to complete. Compliance with the requirement to complete all ten modules will be sent in a report to all deans and unit heads after the Nov. 30 deadline.
