The Hugh Hodgson School of Music will host Music Therapy Career Day on Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. in Room 304 of the music school.
The faculty and students of the music therapy program will host a presentation about music therapy as a profession in addition to providing information about the music therapy program at UGA. The event coincides with an audition day in the music school.
“One of the key elements of Music Therapy Career Day is that we feature our music therapy students,” said Ellen Ritchey, clinical coordinator of the program. “They share activities they have used in therapy sessions, talk about their experiences and how their love for music and desire to work with people led them to study music therapy.”
