The College of Environment and Design will host LABash, a national student landscape architecture conference March 21-23.
The conference consists of guest speakers, workshops, expos and social events. Speakers include UGA alumni Lawrie Jordan, director of imagery for ESRI, a geographic information mapping system, and Bruce Rado, retired founder and vice president of ERDAS Inc., whose software transforms geospatial data into information for landscape planning.
The conference also will feature a design build, where participants will design on March 22 and on March 23 build their design at Athens Habitat for Humanity. Tours at the conference include an Athens garden tour, an Athens food tour, a tree experts tour and sustainability tours highlighting the UGArden and historic North Campus.
