UGA will join universities around the country in celebrating International Education Week Nov. 11-15.
Events include an international scholar and faculty reception Nov. 11, presentations by returned study-abroad participants Nov. 12, a panel presentation on UGA-Brazil partnerships Nov. 13, an international dessert reception Nov. 13, a Faculty Fulbright Talk Nov. 13 and the announcement of the winner of the Office of International Education’s annual photo/video contest Nov. 15. There also will be a conference on Africa and its diaspora Nov. 13 and a conference on
Portuguese linguistics in the U.S. Nov. 14-16.
A joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, the observance aims to draw attention to the importance of international education and exchanges worldwide.
