The communications studies department in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences is conducting a study to learn more about family communication.
Researchers are seeking participants for the study, which aims to learn more about how adults and teens talk about challenging situations in their lives.
Those eligible to participate in the study must: be the parent of an adolescent child age 14-17; be part of a two-parent household; and currently live with their adolescent child full time and have lived with the child consistently for the past three years.
Benefits of taking part in the study include greater understanding of the ability as a parent to work through difficult discussions.
Participation in the study will take approximately two hours. Both parents and the adolescent child are required to attend the session together.
