Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UGA, in partnership with the Athens Regional Library System, will present “The 2016 Election: Looking Back, Looking Forward” Nov. 15 from 7-8:30 p.m.
Open free to the public, the presentation will be given by Paul-Henri Gurian, a retired UGA political science professor.
He will discuss how the 2016 presidential campaign differed from previous campaigns, how candidates and their campaigns influenced the election results, the accuracy of the political polls and forecasts, the potential impact of the relationship between the new president and the new congressional leadership as well as possible scenarios for the future of the two major parties.
