The University of Georgia Retirees’ Association’s annual reception for new retirees from UGA during the past year will not be held again in spring 2021 because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
This is the second consecutive year that it has been necessary to postpone this event. A reception for the 2020 and 2021 new retirees will be scheduled at a later date. It is anticipated that it will be either in late fall 2021 or may be combined with the reception for 2022 retirees in April 2022.
UGARA regrets the necessity to again make such a postponement. Along with the association’s congratulations, UGARA sends its appreciation for the understanding of the 2020 and 2021 retirees.
