For more than 50 years, Canadian Brass has delighted audiences with virtuosity, showmanship and good humor.

The quintet kicks off the UGA Presents Holiday Music Series on Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Hodgson Concert Hall. The other performers are The Kingdom Choir (Dec. 5), Kathy Mattea (Dec. 11), the Vienna Boys Choir (Dec. 18) and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Chorus (Dec. 21).

Canadian Brass has developed a uniquely engaging stage presence and rapport with audiences. Each of their concerts exhibits a full range of musical styles, from trademark Baroque and Dixieland tunes, to Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Joplin, Gershwin and Ellington to ballet, opera and new compositions and arrangements created especially for them.

Members include Joe Burgstaller and Mikio Sasaki, trumpets; Jeff Nelsen, horn; Keith Dyrda, trombone; and Chuck Daellenbach, tuba.

This performance is supported by Carlton Bain and Dr. William Tzu-wei Huang.
