Ten UGA employees retired Nov. 1. Retirees, their job classification, department and years of service are:

  • Deryl F. Bailey, professor, Mary Frances Early College of Education, counseling and human development services department, 25 years, 7 months;
  • Armando Diaz, painter, Facilities Management Division, operations and maintenance department, structural maintenance, 28 years, 4 months;
  • Susan Goldman, Madison County Extension agent, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Northeast District County Extension Services, 37 years, 1 month;
  • Sarah P. Grimes, Walton County 4-H Extension educator, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Northeast District County Extension Services, 12 years, 6 months;
  • Richard N. Hitchcock, IT manager, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, crop and soil sciences department, 35 years, 1 month;
  • Donald J. Lord, brick mason, Facilities Management Division, operations and maintenance, structural support, 25 years, 2 months;
