Administrative Professionals Day conference

The annual Administrative Professionals Day conference will be held April 23 at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel.

Millicent St. Claire will present this year’s keynote address, “The Competitive Edge: Communication Skills to Produce Positive Results.” A seminar leader and inspirational speaker, St. Claire specializes in teaching adult learners to discover their hidden genius using accelerative learning methods.

Julie L. Cannon will be the luncheon speaker at this year’s event. A native Athenian, Cannon graduated from UGA with a degree in journalism. She is the author of Truelove and Homegrown Tomatoes as well as its sequels, ’Mater Biscuit and Those Pearly Gates.

Presented in conjunction with Administrative Professionals Week, the conference is open to administrative assistants, aides, executive assistants, office managers, office assistants, clerks, coordinators, secretaries and supervisors.

The conference will help participants focus on the tools and techniques to stay motivated, effective, and successful in today’s high-pressure work environment. Participants will have opportunities to network, make new acquaintances and visit exhibitors during the workshops and the luncheon.

The deadline to register for the conference is April 17. The cost  to attend the conference is $75 per individual session, $99 for a session and the luncheon, $28 for the luncheon only or $150 for both sessions and the luncheon.
