Adrian Wolstenholme, an associate professor of infectious diseases in the College of Veterinary Medicine, received $234,625 from the National Institutes of Health to study roundworm genes to better understand their resistance to drugs and look for possible genetic targets for disease treatments. Roundworms infect billions of people worldwide causing a variety of chronic and debilitating diseases.
