Don’t Hate the Player; Hate the Game: A Girl’s Guide to Benching the Bad Boys by Robert Williams, who earned a master’s degree in education from UGA in 1997, is a straightforward, practical and humorous playbook that illustrates the game used by males to attract and exploit females. The book offers safe solutions for beating the game.
The point of this book is not to merely reveal trade secrets, but to enlighten and encourage young women while retaining and refocusing young men. Ultimately, the book aims to help young women learn to form positive, lasting relationships.
Williams, a licensed teacher, counselor and minister is assistant principal at Clarke Middle School and assistant pastor at the Timothy Baptist Church in Athens. He said the book’s goal is to help young women live lives free from the damage caused by gaming players, to educate and inform women of all ages and to help reduce rates of pregnancy and sexually-transmitted diseases.
To help readers understand the game, the book includes a glossary of terms taken from the lingo of today’s youth.
