Now through Dec. 15 is the annual period for eligible UGA faculty, staff and retirees to request changes in health and other insurance options. Eligible employees and retirees can choose among the indemnity, PPO and HMO health plans during this period.
There are no changes in health plan coverage this year. However, premium rates have been adjusted.
All forms, plan details, rates and other annual enrollment information can be found on the Human Resources home page (www.hr.uga.edu) by selecting the “Annual enrollment” link. Also, information packets with enrollment materials have been mailed to eligible recipients.
For convenience, Human Resources has installed an outside drop box in front of the HR building on Jackson Street. Annual enrollment forms can be placed in the box during office hours, after hours or on weekends until the Dec. 15 deadline.
Because the annual enrollment period was moved to November-December this year, HR staff members will have little time to complete annual enrollment data entry to meet administrative deadlines. Although one option was to end annual enrollment early, HR is committed to giving faculty, staff and retirees the full five-week enrollment period. Submitting enrollment forms as early as possible will greatly assist the staff in meeting deadlines.
