Arnett C. Mace Jr. received Professional Achievement Award

Arnett C. Mace Jr., senior vice president for academic affairs and provost, received the Professional Achievement Award from the University of Arizona Alumni Association.

Mace, who earned his doctoral degree in water resources from the University of Arizona in 1968, was nominated for the award by the university’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Before assuming his current position in 2003, Mace served 11 years as dean of UGA’s Warnell School of Forest Resources. He came to UGA in 1991 from the University of Florida where he was professor and director of the School of Forest Resources and Conservation. Last year he was elected to the Georgia Foresters Hall of Fame.
