Barrett, Nibbelink and Maerz, U.S. Department of the Interior

Russell Kyle Barrett, a postdoctoral research associate and lead principal investigator, along with co-PIs Nathan Nibbelink, an associate professor in GIS/spatial ecology, and John Maerz, an associate professor of vertebrate ecology in the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, have received $81,875 from the U.S. Department of the Interior via the Wildlife Management Institute to map priority habitats for reptiles and amphibians in the Northeastern U.S., and to identify which habitats are likely to be most resilient to climate change. They will be collaborating with a research team from the University of Maine.
