The 14th Molecular Parasitology/Vector Biology Symposium, sponsored by the Center for Tropical and Emerging Global Diseases, will be held April 30 at the Classic Center. The symposium is free but registration is required.
The deadline for registering is April 16. Registration information is on the CTEGD Web site (www.ctegd.uga.edu).
The symposium will bring together regional faculty, staff and students interested in various aspects of tropical disease research. Participants are expected from many departments within UGA, as well as from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Emory University, the Medical College of Georgia, Morehouse School of Medicine, Tuskegee University, Clemson University and other regional colleges and universities.
The day-long symposium will include short talks, a catered lunch, a poster session and a keynote address by Jim McKerrow of the University of California, San Francisco, on “Meeting the Challenge of Antiparasitic Drug Design.”
