Bob Izlar, director of the Center for Forest Business in the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, was named a Fellow of the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry, an independent organization chartered by the Swedish Crown that focuses on connecting international practitioners of agriculture and forestry to take initiative on policy and science issues affecting sustainability.
The academy promotes agriculture, forestry and natural resources with the support of sound science and practical experience for the benefit of society.
Izlar is one of just nine foreign fellows named to the academy this year and is the only non-European to be inducted.
