Branson Ritchie, a Distinguished Research Professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine, was recognized by the Association of University Technology Managers in its most recent “Better World Report.”
He was recognized for two wound cleaning and treatment products, Silvaklenz and Silvion, that improve human health by providing better antimicrobial control for wounds. The products, developed by Ritchie and his colleagues at UGA and Molecular Therapeutics, enhance the potency of antimicrobials—even against drug-resistant pathogens.
