Bulldogs hold off Tech, heading to SEC Championship

The Bulldogs will take on Alabama Saturday in Atlanta

The fourth-ranked Georgia football team never got much going offensively Friday against No. 23 Georgia Tech at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, but the Bulldogs in all phases of the game did enough to earn the team its record eighth straight win over the Yellow Jackets, 16-9. After finishing 7-1 in the Southeastern Conference this year, the Bulldogs have now clinched a spot in another SEC Championship Game. The 2025 SECG against Alabama will be Saturday in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium with kickoff at 4 p.m. on ABC. Georgia has won the SECG five times, including in 2024 over Texas.
