Campus Life administrators receive international student affairs awards

Athens, Ga. -William M.”Bill”McDonald, dean of students and T.W. Cauthen, director of the Center for Leadership and Service within the University of Georgia Department of Campus Life, have been honored by the American College Personnel Association, College Student Educators International.

McDonald has been named a 2011 Annuit Coeptis Senior Professional and Cauthen has been selected as a 2011 Annuit Coeptis Emerging Professional.

ACPA leads the student affairs profession and the higher education community in providing outreach, advocacy, research and professional development to foster college student learning.

The Annuit Coeptis award was created to commemorate the life and work of Philip Tripp, who was known for challenging his contemporaries in a spirit of personal and professional sharing, good humor and thoughtful intellectual debate. Three senior professionals and five emerging professionals are honored annually during the ACPA conference. This year’s ceremony will be held on March 29 in Baltimore.

The Department of Campus Life is a unit of the UGA Division of Student Affairs.
