Four finalists for the position of dean of the College of Environment and Design will visit campus in the coming weeks to meet with members of the university community.
A committee chaired by Phillip Williams, dean of the College of Public Health, conducted a national search to identify the finalists. The committee was assisted by the UGA Search Group in the Division of Human Resources.
Each finalist will make a public presentation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in Room 123 of the Jackson Street Building. The finalists and the dates of their presentations are:
• James LaGro Jr., professor in the department of planning and landscape architecture at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Oct. 30;
• Patsy Eubanks Owens, professor of landscape architecture and vice chair of the department of human ecology at the University of California, Davis, Nov. 2;
• Sonia Hirt, professor and dean of the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at the University of Maryland, Nov. 6; and
• Forster Ndubisi, professor in the department of landscape architecture and urban planning at Texas A&M University, Nov. 8.
