College cuts alumni association ties

After months of disputes, Palmer College of Chiropractic has ended its formal relationship with the college’s International Alumni Association, and is asking an Iowa judge to prevent the association from using the school’s name and logo. Problems began last year when the alumni association asked that the alumni seat on the board of trustees be allowed to vote. Leaders of the 2,000-member alumni group have criticized the college’s administration and board. The alumni claim they have been largely ignored by the college and prevented from questioning and giving feedback to the college’s administration.
