The College of Pharmacy and the American Pharmacists Association will celebrate American Pharmacists Month with the 10th annual “Dawgtoberfest: Rx for Good Health” on Oct. 17 from noon to 3 p.m. in the Pharmacy South building.
The event will include health screenings, free food and samples for all attendees. Flu shots will be available for $20 for non-students and $15 for students. Cash, check, MasterCard or Visa will be accepted.
Dawgtoberfest also will include free body fat analysis, diabetes assessments and blood pressure checks. Additionally, students and faculty from health groups across campus will present information on hypertension, asthma, breast cancer, diabetes, fad diets, immunizations, sexually transmitted diseases, women’s health topics, pediatric health topics and heartburn.
