ASA DataFest, hosted by the American Statistical Association, will take place at the UGA Innovation District from April 10-12.
DataFest is a fast-paced, weekend-long data analysis competition, open to both undergraduate and graduate students.
Although both groups will be given the same data set, undergraduate and graduate teams will compete in separate streams. Registration is open until Feb. 27.
The competition will begin on April 10 at 5 p.m. and conclude on April 12 at 3 p.m. with final presentations and an awards ceremony. The top three undergraduate and graduate teams will receive cash prizes, certificates and one-year student memberships in the American Statistical Association.
Three awards will be presented — Best Show, Best Visualization and Best Use of External Data. Ten judges, including some from Georgia-Pacific, FIGS, State Farm, Equifax and Home Depot, will assess the teams.
