Employees who want to change which version of Columns they receive—print, email or both—can do so by updating their delivery preference. Problems? Questions? Send an email to

Campus mailing address: The mailing list for the printed version of Columns is taken from an employee database maintained by the Office of Institutional Research and generated by the Division of Development & Alumni Relations. Employees whose campus address has changed should email with the new information. After the new  campus address has been verified by Human Resources, it will be updated in the database. Employees with limited access to a computer should work with their supervisor to have campus address information updated.


Retired UGA faculty and staff who would like to be added to the Columns mailing list for print or the email list for online readers should send an email to with SEND ME COLUMNS in the subject line and let us know if you want to read Columns in print or if you would like to read it online. After your retirement is verified, you will be added to the list of online or print Columns readers. Problems? Questions? Send an email to

Publication Formats

Excluding holiday and spring breaks, Columns is published weekly during the academic year and biweekly during the summer by the UGA Division of Marketing & Communications. Publication dates for the current academic year are online. Full-time employees with a valid UGA MyID can decide which version—print, electronic or both—they would like to have delivered to them.


The paper version of Columns is delivered to Mailing & Receiving Services on Friday afternoon. From there, it is distributed to schools, colleges, departments and units on the Athens campus. PDFs of the printed version also are on the Columns website. Use the Click to Read button to download, like or share the PDFs, which go back to June 30, 2014.


The news, features and information from the paper version of Columns are online at The website is updated with new content on the same date Columns is published. Readers who receive the digital version of Columns online will receive an email on Mondays when Columns is published.
