The Office of the Chief Information Officer and Enterprise Information Technology Services will hold its Compact Planning session for the 2010 fiscal year on Sept. 21 from 1-3 p.m. in Masters Hall of the Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel.
A collegial and negotiated user-driven approach to strategic planning for information technology, Compact Planning has been used at UGA since 2005. The process engages the campus community in the identification of high-priority information technology needs and requirements. The process is also designed for long-term planning for core information technology infrastructure, systems, services and applications.
The format of this year’s session will, for the first time, allow for access through a Webinar. Specific information about the process and featured success stories are available on the Compact Planning Web site at eits.uga.edu/compact. A video about Compact Planning is also available on the EITS IT-TV Web site (eits.uga.edu/it-tv).
Those who cannot attend the Sept. 21 session can submit their thoughts about priority needs and requirements via the feedback form on the Compact Planning Web site (eits.uga.edu/compact).
For additional information, contact Lynn Latimer, associate director for IT planning and decision support, at (706) 425-2920 or llatimer@uga.edu.
