The Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities is inviting submissions from UGA undergraduate researchers for the 2013 CURO Symposium, which will be held at the Classic Center on April 1. The CURO Symposium provides a forum for undergraduates from all disciplines to present original research and creative works sponsored by faculty members. Undergraduate students at all stages are -encouraged to apply by Feb. 15.
CURO is also accepting proposals for 2013 CURO Summer Fellowships. These fellowships provide funded opportunities for intensive, immersive, faculty-guided research experiences for academically talented undergraduates. It provides a $3,000 stipend; six hours of academic credit through two CURO research courses; and -acceptance to the following year’s CURO Symposium. CURO is also accepting nominations for the CURO Research Mentoring Awards at the Early Career and Master levels. These awards recognize faculty who are successful in fostering undergraduate research through CURO courses, summer fellowships, symposium participation and theses. Award winners will be formally recognized at the keynote address of the 2013 CURO -Symposium.
