CURO travel award

The Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities has established the Honors/CURO Excellence in Undergraduate Research Award to support undergraduate travel to present research at national conferences.

CURO, a part of UGA’s Honors Program, was established to promote a culture of inquiry by providing opportunities for undergraduates to participate in research guided by faculty mentors.

This one-time $200 award is available to students who have presented at the undergraduate research symposium CURO sponsors every spring. In some cases, eligibility may be granted if the national conference is scheduled before the student’s participation in the CURO symposium.

Application forms are available on the CURO Web site (www.uga.edu/honors/curo) and should be accompanied by a letter of support from a faculty research mentor and the conference acceptance notification. The award is given on a rolling basis so there is no set deadline.

Applications and additional material may be sent to Pamela Kleiber, associate director of the Honors Program, 203 Moore College, Athens, GA 30602. For more information, contact Kleiber at (706) 542-0530 or pkleiber@uga.edu.
