Deborah Tippins, a professor with joint appointments in elementary and science education, has received a regional award for her contributions to the education of future and practicing science teachers.
Tippins received the John Shrum Award for Excellence in the Education of Science Teachers from the Southeastern Association of Science Teacher Education.
