The Office of the Vice President for Research and the Office of Institutional Diversity have launched a new Research in Diversity Seed Grant program. This program aims to stimulate more diversity and inclusion related research at UGA. The program will fund competitive internal grants to support initial work by early career faculty or to support a new emphasis on research into diversity and inclusion by established faculty.
Research proposals that have as their central focus topics related to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or disability are invited. Ideal seed grant proposals will be interdisciplinary, drawing upon the diverse disciplines and breadth of knowledge across the university. The RIDSG program will fund proposals with a seed grant amount of up to $2,000 for each approved project.
Proposals are due April 2. Awards will be decided within six weeks, and funds will be available July 1. Funds awarded must be spent within the fiscal year, by June 30. Proposals should be submitted in electronic format to diverse@uga.edu. For additional information, visit http://diversity.uga.edu/
