Domy Adriano, a professor emeritus from the crop and soil sciences department and a biogeochemist emeritus from the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory, received the 2012 Soil Science Distinguished Service Award from the Soil Science Society of America. The award recognizes Adriano’s research accomplishments to promote sustainable soil quality and sound environmental stewardship, service to the soil science profession and educational enrichment.
